Devin Moran picked up a $3,000 victory Friday night at Skyline.
What won the race: After fellow front-row starter Freddie Carpenter tangled with a lapped car and was charged with a mid-race caution, polesitter Devin Moran of Dresden, Ohio, inherited the point and led the rest of the Jack Shutts Memorial. The 20-year-old driver earned $3,000 for his second Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week victory in as many nights.
Quotable: "It's kind of a tough break for Freddie there," Moran said. "They just kind of gave us that one. I wish he could've kept racing. I wanted to know if we could've beaten him tonight, because I don't know if the best car won tonight. I guess I'll take the gift for tonight and move on to tomorrow night."
Key notes: Following his Super Late Model victory, Moran tagged the tail of the Limited Late Model feature in Nathan Carpenter's machine and stormed forward to another victory. ...
