What won the race: Winning his fifth special event at the track this season, polesitter Randy Weaver of Crossville, Tenn., dominated Friday's action at Smoky Mountain Speedway, leading all 53 laps for a $5,300 Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series victory. Points contenders Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., and Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Ga., followed Weaver across the finish line.
