What won the race: Eighth-starting Brandon Umberger of Rural Retreat, Va., earned $5,500 Saturday at Princeton Speedway in capturing the 40-lap Upper Big Branch Miners Memorial, a Fastrak-sanctioned Crate Late Model special. Early leader Jeff Maxwell was second followed by Brandon Riffe in the 40-lapper.
Key notes: The feature started about 10:45 p.m. ... The fifth annual Upper Big Branch Miners Memorial was a non-touring Fastrak-sanctioned event. ... Jeff Maxwell, who earned $290 for his fast-qualifier honors, won last week's tuneup at Princeton. ...
