Ryan Unzicker heads to victory in the Chuck Hamilton Memorial.
What won the race: Polesitter Ryan Unzicker of El Paso, Ill., held off a charging Billy Moyer Jr. of Batesville, Ark., on the final lap to capture the 50-lap Chuck Hamilton Memorial, a $5,000 victory on the Sunoco American Late Model Series. Unzicker led every lap at the quarter-mile oval but Moyer Jr. pulled nearly side-by-side out of turn four after the leader struggled with a slower car a lap earlier.
Quotable: "I was getting tight there towards the end, and honestly I didn't know it was the checkers, I didn't know it was the last lap," Unzicker said. "So coming out of (turn) four, when I seen him have a good run, and I saw the checkered flag flying, I just started fist-pumping."
