Thornton totalled more than $5,000 on the weekend after Sunday's victory over Steve Drake of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and series points leader Clay Daly of Watsonville, Calif.
Key notes: The race marked the finale of a two-night weekend benefitting Relay for Life.
