What won the race: Third-starting Jeremy Wonderling of Wellsville, N.Y., captured his first Sweeney Chevrolet RUSH Series victory Thursday at McKean County Raceway. Wonderling earned $1,500.
Quotable: "The car worked good everywhere. I probably could have drove harder in (turns) one and two, but the track was a little slick down there. I didn't hear, see or feel anyone. I thought I was ahead of them by a little ways, and I had a little bit left to race with," Wonderling said. "I have to thank all of my sponsors and family. My brother Mike let me borrow his motor for over the half of the year."
Key notes: Wonderling and runner-up Paul Grigsby battled side-by-side early with Wonderling taking the lead for good on the fourth lap. ... Wonderling became the tour's eighth winner; he has five weekly RUSH victories in 2016. ... Mike Pegher Jr. worked his way into contention, but a lap-nine tangle with John Waters ended the race for Pegher, Jason Knowles and Mike Laughard. ... Eleven drivers finished on the lead lap. ...
