What won the race: Regaining the lead when Jason Feger had a right-rear flat tire while leading on lap 36, UMP DIRTcar Summernationals champ Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Ill., won Thursday in Lincoln Speedway's makeup event for his 11th series victory of 2016. Pierce earned $5,000 in the race co-sanctioned by the Missouri-based MARS DIRTcar Series while Ryan Unzicker and Billy Moyer finished second and third.

Quotable: "I was catching him there at the end a a little bit, but I don't think I could've done anything if I did catch him in that short of amount of time," Pierce said. "But heck, we'll take it."

Key notes: Pierce led the final four laps. ... Pierce also led laps 4-15 but Jason Feger took command on lap 16 and appeared to have the race in hand when he slowed late with a flat tire; Feger ended up 15th. ...
