Trevers Feathers celebrates his $5,000 Winchester victory.
What won the race: Polesitter Trever Feathers won Saturday's Red Nininger Memorial at his hometown Winchester Speedway for a $3,000 Battle of the Bay victory. Feathers took the checkers ahead of Mark Pettyjohn, who led the first nine laps over Feathers, and Dale Hollidge, Friday's Nininger Memorial winner in Hagerstown, Md.
Quotable: "After all the hard work in the shop last night and even into this afternoon, it's great to come out here tonight and get another win." Feathers said. "We got wrecked at Hagerstown last night and the car was in bad shape, but everyone dug in and got this thing back together so we could race here tonight."
Key notes: Feathers made the winning pass on the 10th lap. ... Red Nininger was a Late Model track champion at Winchester in ’69, ’71 and ’74, as well as co-champion in ’72; tribute cars made laps in honor of Nininger. ... Mike Franklin won the Crate feature.
