What won the race: Ryan Unzicker of El Paso, Ill., slipped under Tim Manville on the 12th lap and captured the first of three rounds of Late Model action on the undercard of Tri-City Speedway's Mod Mania. Stretching a personal win streak to six in a row, Unzicker's $2,000 victory ended Bobby Pierce's streak of six straight Mod Mania victories; he'd swept all six races of the last two seasons.
Quotable: "This car has been awfully damn good ... we're short on help, but we've sure been busting it in getting the job done," said winner Ryan Unzicker, who took the checkers 2.751 seconds ahead of runner-up Tim Manville.
