What won the race: Outside front-row starter Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., raced to a $2,000 victory in Saturday's season-opening Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series feature at Park Jefferson International Speedway. Berck beat polesitter Justin Zeitner and fifth-starting Tad Pospisil to the checkers.
Key notes: Berck recorded his series-leading 75th career win. ... His victory came one year to the week that the five-time series champion had his race car trailer catch fire shortly after leaving his shop for the tour's season-opening weekend.
