What won the race: Ninth-starting Nick Anvelink of Navarino, Wis., topped Brett Swedberg on Tuesday to win his third straight DiscountShopTowels.com Dirt Kings Tour event at 141 Speedway. Anvelink earned $1,250 for winning the midweek special. Third-starting Ron Berna finished in that spot.
Key notes: Polesitter Turk Letizia of Milwaukee, Wis., led the first lap and finished sixth. ... Jared Siefert took over on the second lap and a lap-seven caution bunched the field. ... Anvelink took the lead just before halfway. … Anvelink, who won both series stops at 141 last season, has now won three of four series events this season. … He lapped all but four cars. ... The race kicked off 141 Speedway’s Clash at the Creek, a three-night event highlighted by a $10,000-to-win modified main event on Thursday. … It was the first of three scheduled visits the second-year tour makes to the Wisconsin oval this season.
