What won the race: Leading all 25 laps, polesitter Jason Genco of Jamestown, N.Y., outran sixth-starting John Waters for his second RUSH Dirt Late Model Series victory of the season at Genesee Speedway. He earned a $1,500 payday.
Quotable: "I didn't know where anyone was at so I never let up," 34-year-old winner Jason Genco said. "I just tried to keep my tires underneath me. I kept hitting that water when I had to go low down there and I almost slid up across the track twice. The car was fantastic and drove awesome. I was happy when the caution came out to get rid of the lapped cars. I'd rather have clean air so I can drive the thing and do what I have to do rather than sort out and keep ducking in and out of traffic."
Key notes: Genco was also the winner of the June 2 RUSH touring event at Genesee. … The lone caution appeared on lap 22 when Chad Sines slipped the track in turn four. ... Manufacturers Night presented by MSD Performance presented more than $14,000 in product giveaways to series drivers.
On the move: John Waters of Whitesville, N.Y., started sixth and finished second for Precise Racing Products Hard Charger honors.
Winner's sponsors: Genco's Jimmy Craig and Jason Badgley-owned No. 29 is sponsored by Sensible Sales and Leasing Chuck Carlson, SKF Racing, Burnett’s Flooring, Kier Services, Jamestown Heating and Air, Holiday Harbor, Geraci and Accountants, Horse Shoe Inn, Close Racing Supply, Jamestown Glass Service, Big D Welding, Twister Carbs, Sugar Grove Legion, Russ King Racing, Dimarco Vein Centers, 955 Automotive, All State Insurance, Phantom Graphics, LHC Modular Homes, Steven Swenko, TA Auto Sales and Service, Fairway Point Village, Townline Auto, Jamestown Electro Plating and the Upholstery Place.
