What won the race: Continuing a hot streak during WISSOTA's late-season specials, Ricky Weiss of Headingley, Manitoba, earned a $3,000 Stock Car Stampede victory Saturday at Jamestown Speedway. The third-starting Weiss overtook race-long leader and polesitter Dustin Strand amid traffic with four laps remaining to win the 30-lapper.
Quotable: "I wanted to get into lapped traffic. I knew I could maneuver more," winner Ricky Weiss told the Jamestown Sun. "(Strand) was kind of a sitting duck out front there, not being able to move around as much as I could."
Key notes: Weiss won for the third straight weekend and the 22nd feature of the season. ... He captured the John Seitz Memorial at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., and the WISSOTA 100 at I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minn. ... Fifteen of 25 starters were running at the finish. ... Eric Edwards and Brody Troftgruben were disqualified and placed 24th and 25th in the final rundown. ... The 47th Stock Car Stampedge was the season's final event at the Stutsman County Fairgrounds oval.
