Kent Robinson takes the checkers for his $5,000 victory.
What won the race: After a lead swapping battle with polesitter Devin Gilpin of Columbus, Ind., third-starting Kent Robinson of Bloomington, Ind., scored his first win of 2019 in Saturday’s Schaeffer’s MARS Racing Series-sanctioned program at Brownstown Speedway. He earned a $5,000 payday.
Quotable: "I was getting signals and I felt pretty good," Robinson said. "Real good at the beginning there and once (Gilpin) got back by me, I kind of rolled off into (turn) one right into that hole. Gilpin and Robinson battled for the top spot for the majority of the 40-lapper until Robinson built up a 0.589 second margin in the closing laps. ... A dozen drivers completed 40 laps. ...
