Chris Ferguson gets rolling at Modoc (S.C.) Raceway.
What won the race: Fifth-row starter Chris Ferguson of Mount Holly, N.C., swept around Johnny Pursley on the 37th of 50 laps and captured Saturday's Jack Starrette Memorial at Modoc Raceway. Ferguson earned $5,022 for his 12th career Ultimate Southeast victory as he became the seventh winner in seven series races in 2019.
Quotable: “Even with the bad luck of having a flat tire while leading on Friday night at Carolina Speedway, this was the kind of weekend that our team needed,” Ferguson said. “We had a great car all weekend, and then to win the race in memory of Jack for the fourth time just means so much. He was a guy that gave me a great opportunity early in my career, and he’ll always have a special place in my heart."
