What won the race: Dane Dacus of Lakeland, Tenn., topped polesitter Chad Thrash in Saturday night’s 40-lap Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series sanctioned event at Whynot Motorsports Park. He earned $3,000 for his fourth career MSCCS victory.

Key notes: Dacus won a MSCCS event at Whynot for the third consecutive year. ... Whynot hosted the tour for the second and final time this season. The race was originally set for June 8 but was pushed back a week because of rain. … Ashton Winger of Hampton, Ga., won the tour’s April 20 visit to Whynot. He finished fifth on Saturday. ...
