What won the race: Holding off challengers in traffic sixth-starting Bryant Marsh of Corinth won Saturday’s All Star Racing Series season-finale at Crossroads MotorPark Speedway, his home track. Marsh earned $1,500 for his first victory on the third-year Crate Late Model tour.
Quotable: “We’ve got a good car, but honestly we just haven’t had much time to race this year between my dad’s work schedule and my college stuff. It was really special to get to race at home for the first time in four years on Saturday night. We had a lot of friends and family out there, which made it special,” Marsh said. “It proved to be a pretty long night because of the rain delays, but in the end, we were able to get the job done."
Key notes: It was the first win of the season for Marsh and the first time in four years he's competed at his home track. ... The feature didn’t get underway until just after 2 a.m. as rain hampered the program throughout the evening. … Matt Cooper closed out the season with a series-high four victories. … Ashley Newman of Ripley, Tenn., finished the season with three series wins. … After two cautions slowed the pace in the first two laps, the final 28 went caution-free.
