What won the race: Polesitter Timothy Culp of Prattsville, Ark., raced to his second Comp Cams Super Dirt Series victory of the season. Culp turned back B.J. Robinson and Hunter Rasdon for a $3,000 payday at Texarkana 67 Speedway on Friday.
Quotable: “That caution there, everybody was telling me to go high,” said Culp. “I moved around a little bit and just started searching a little bit. When you’re leading like that, it’s real tough to know where everybody’s at. It seems like once we got stretched out there we were holding our own OK.”
Key notes: Culp finished 2.390 seconds head of Robinson. … Fourteen of the 20 starters finished the feature with 11 completing 40 laps. … Culp’s previous win this season came March 7 at Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, La.
On the move: Neil Baggett of Columbus, Miss., started 19th and finished 13th.
Winner's sponsors: Culp’s Rocket Chassis is powered by Clements Racing Engines and carries sponsorship from Bennings Heat & Air, Carrier, Culp’s Automotive, Loftis Farms and Henry’s Auto Salvage.
