What won the race: Winning his first career Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series event, polesitter Josh Putnam of Florence, Ala., earned $3,000 in a home-state victory at ECM Speedway. Putnam took the checkers ahead of series points leader Chad Thrash.
Key notes: The Mississippi tour made its third overall trip to the track and second this season. ... Mike Palasini Jr. won last year's tour debut at ECM Speedway and Chad Thrash won this season's late-spring visit.
