What won the race: Leading all 30 laps from the pole, Kyle Lukon of Burgettstown, Pa., won Friday’s opening night of the Pace Performance RUSH Series-sanctioned Bill Hendren Memorial doubleheader at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. Lukon finished 4.212 seconds ahead of Alex Ferree in winning $3,100.
Quotable: "The race track was awesome tonight," said Lukon. "After I came in from the dash, dad said I think you screwed up because up to that point it was a pretty top dominant race track. I got by Tommy (Schirnhofer) on the bottom, but I was a little worried he may get the jump on me on the start. The car was awesome.”
