What won the race: Holding off a charging Ross White in the closing laps, polesitter Austin Dillon of Welcome, N.C., claimed the $7,500 prize in Saturday night’s Karl Kustoms Bristol Dirt Nationals finale for 604 Crate Late Models at the dirt-covered Bristol Motor Speedway. The NASCAR Cup Series regular took the checkered flag ahead of White and Shan Smith.
Key notes: The 604 Crate Late Model division began its Bristol Dirt Nationals on Tuesday with nine 10-lap heat races that set the lineups for three 20-lap semifeatures (NASCAR star Austin Dillon won the first, but the others were postponed to Wednesday with Ross White and Oscar McCown winning). … Another set of heats and semifeatures were originally on Thursday's schedule, but Thursday's action was rained out. The second prelim night wasn't made up.
