What won the race: Outdueling Dave Hess Jr., fourth-starting Max Blair of Centerville, Pa., recorded his 33rd career Zimmer’s United Late Model Northern Series victory on Sunday night at Eriez Speedway in the 29-lap Dick Litz Memorial. He took the checkers 0.297 of a second ahead of Hess for the $2,900 top prize.
Quotable: “That was a crazy race,” said Blair. “I didn’t think it was gonna happen. I knew we had the car to do it, but just them yellows kept falling at the wrong time. I just thought it was gonna play out the wrong way.”
