What won the race: Outside polesitter Christian Hanger of Winchester, Tenn., rolled to a $2,000 victory in Friday night's 40-lap Crate Racin' USA-sanctioned Salute to America Nationals feature at Moulton Speedway. He beat Colton Leyendecker of Holt, Fla., to the finish line by 1.444 seconds.
Key notes: Driving a 7-year-old MasterSbilt, Hanger recorded his first triumph of 2021 on the Crate Late Model tour. ... The feature lasted 18 minutes with 13 competitors completing the entire distance. ... The event kicked off CRUSA's big holiday weekend tripleheader, which moves Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala., for a $2,500-to-win main event on Saturday and Cochran (Ga.)
