Daulton Wilson dominated Monday's second $5,000 semifeature at Off Road.

What won the race: Outside front-row starter Daulton Wilson of Fayetteville, N.C., led all 25 laps Monday at Off Road Speedway to capture the second 25-lap semifeature ahead of Tuesday’s Elkhorn 100 on the XR Super Series. Wilson took the checkers 2.386 seconds ahead of Ricky Thornton Jr. while polesitter Dennis Erb Jr. finished third.

Quotable: "I feel like a lot of weight's lifted it off my shoulders right here," Wilson said. "It's been a long time coming this year and these guys have worked their butts off. ... We've been right on the edge all year long, but to finally get it done really feels great."

Key notes: Wilson, who will start outisde the front row of Tuesday's main event, got his first checkered flag of the season. ... Like the first semifeature, the 25-lapper ran caution-free. ... Dennis Erb Jr. lowered the track record with a 13.356-second lap in time trials. ... Monday’s 28-car field was split into two 14-car groups with dual programs of time trials and heat races. The twin 25s transferred the top five finishers in each prelim into the first five rows of Tuesday’s 100-lap, $100,000-to-win Elkhorn 100 finale. ... The event was postponed from April 14-15 because of inclement weather.
