What won the race: Launching into the lead from outside the front row, Randy Weaver of Crossville, Tenn., started 2015 off right with a flag-to-flag victory in East Alabama Motor Speedway's Bama Bash. Weaver pocketed $6,000 in purse money and another $2,500 in lap money in the 50-lap Southern All Star feature.
Quotable: “This place is fun to drive when they work that track like that,” Weaver said. “The grooves change multiple times and it's really fun.”
Key notes: Weaver has 27 career SAS victories. ... He built more than a six-second lead over polesitter Chris Madden before a lap-23 caution for a slowing Ryan Law. ...
