Key notes: Arthur, who made a six-hour haul to compete at Modoc, registered his second high-dollar Crate Late Model triumph of 2015. On Jan. 31 he pocketed $10,000 for winning a NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series event at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Fla. ... Last year's Modoc 100 winner, Brandon Overton of Evans, Ga., settled for an eighth-place finish.
