What won the race: Pole-starting Jordan Koehler of Mount Airy, N.C., repelled a late charge from Ben Watkins to win Saturday's $7,500 Ultimate Showdown at Ultimate Motorsports Park, earning his first career Super Late Model victory and his first on the Ultimate Southeast Series. Koehler overtook Gray Parton on lap 13 and led the remainder of the 40-lapper, finishing 0.401 of a second ahead of fifth-starting Watkins.
Key notes: Points leader Gray Parton faded to fourth after leading the opening 12 laps. ... Carson Brown improved five positions and completed the top-five finishers. ...
