What won the race: Rallying from his 10th starting spot, Bub McCool of Vicksburg, Miss., caught race-long leader Brian Rickman of Columbus, Miss., late and made the winning pass heading for the checkers in the first event co-sanctioned by the Comp Cams and MSCCS tours. McCool won by .068 seconds at the gumbo clay oval over Rickman, who led 39 of 40 laps.
Key notes: McCool won his second race in seven nights; he captured MSCC's May 2 event at Columbus Speedway. ... Rick Rickman, the runner-up's brother, slowed for a lap-11 yellow flag. ... The evening was delayed briefly by rain after a five-car pileup on the seventh lap of the second consy. ...
